Pre-K Eye Exam Day: A SUCCESS!
The Minnesota Optometric Association (MOA) has named a day in August as Pre-K Eye Exam Day, a statewide effort that is part of its Good Sight for Kindergarten campaign.
Dr. Freese of Eyes On Main in Sauk Centre participated in the Pre-K Exam Day in August of 2013 and it was a total success! We were pleased to have our office full of new little kindergartners and look forward to doing it again next year!
New! Costa Del Mar Sunglasses
From the very beginning, Costa's been focused on building the clearest sunglasses for those who live to be on the water. And because of that they continue to push themselves to new technological breakthroughs year after year, they've been known for rewriting the rules on sunglass clarity; lightweight, impact-resistant, polycarbonate. New frame styles, new gear, lens information and more can be found on Costa's website. We are a licensed dealer for Costa and will be here for all your Costa Del Mar needs!
Our Warm & Unique Environment
Sauk Centre’s “Original Main Street”, a national and state registered historic district, made famous by Nobel Prize winning author Sinclair Lewis, was the inspiration behind Eyes on Main. Visitors to Eyes on Main enter a tasteful, past meets present, version of a small town street, complete with buildings, an old-fashioned lamp post, and a one of a kind Main Street mural with puffy clouds floating in the blue sky above. School Readiness Summit: Focus on Vision.
In response to President Ob ama's call to ensure that no child is left behind in the classroom due to an undetected or untreated eye or vision disorder, the AOA (with generous support from HOYA) gathered together nearly 50 leading doctors, nurses, educators and other child health advocates for the first-ever School Readiness Summit: Focus on Vision. The two-day intensive session examined alarmingly high-rates of learning-related vision issues now plaguing America's children and ultimately produce a first-of-its-kind plan of action aimed at addressing these serious concerns. It starts with a doctor you can trust. Being an excellent doctor to us means caring for you, the person, and not just the problems or diseases of the eye. That's why we will treat you with understanding, respect, and a genuine sense of concern for your health and well-being.
Your eyes are complex organs! It's important to understand that visual acuity alone is not a good predictor of the degree of visual difficulty that a person may have. We diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions. Learn More
What to Expect During Your Eye Exam
Assisted by a certified para-optometric, an optometrist will perform your examination. We not only detect ocular diseases or other conditions, but also have full capabilities of treating them when appropriate. Performing special tests during your eye exam will allow us to understand problems more clearly. We explain conditions and treatments in thorough terms you will understand. Learn More
